To support Catholic Healthcare's Business Strategy, we're creating networks of integrated multiservice campuses, Healthy Ageing Centres and Home Care and Services that enable CHL to support clients to live life abundantly and with love free from the fears of ageing and loneliness - “catholic Connected Communities” (cCCs). To enable this business priority, we have a new opportunity for a Mission Manager to focus on developing and maintaining effective Community Engagement and Partnerships. 
Reporting to the Chief of Mission Integration, in this hands-on role with no direct reports you will be responsible for implementing the organisation’s Mission Strategic Plan (MISP) with the key focus of collaborating and engaging with local Church and the wider community to enhance and grow cCCs.  Your exceptional organisation, communication and interpersonal skills together with your natural partnering and networking ability will aid your success in this integral new position.

Within this role your responsibilities will include:
•    Creating and leading the Church & Community Engagement Working Group (CCEWG) with key internal stakeholders to develop and enhance local Church and community connections for older people in line with the Community Engagement Framework, beginning with flagship cCCs sites 
•    Develop and grow partnerships with local Churches, parishes, schools, religious orders, communities
•    Collaboration with internal stakeholders including regional and local managers and pastoral carers 
•    Developing spiritual wellbeing products and services for local churches and communities, to meet the spiritual needs of older people in the community
•    Actively building and maintaining strong relationships and providing relevant resources to managers and employees across the service areas to meet clients' and residents' diverse needs
•    Collaborating with the CHL Volunteers team to enhance volunteering pathways for local Churches and communities to support local homes and services
•    Establishing networks across other organisations in the Community and Aged Care sector
•    Supporting the Mission Manager, Spiritual Wellbeing, and Spiritual/Pastoral team members across all service streams to facilitate spiritual wellbeing and enhance cCCs
•    Actively contributing to developing and delivering Mission formation programs aligned with the Mission Integration Strategic Plan to enhance cCCs

The ideal applicant will be highly motivated and able to work independently within a supportive team to drive initiatives and achieve agreed outcomes. Additionally, to be successful in this role you’ll have;
•    Tertiary qualification in either theology, religious education, ethics, scripture, teaching, or equivalent
•    Demonstrated experience in building stakeholder engagement with local church and community
•    Spiritual maturity and ability to appreciate differing value systems, beliefs, and practices
•    Ability to engage and participate in complex discussions and influence decision-making
•    Deep understanding of the Catholic tradition, the sacraments, and the liturgical life of the Catholic Church
•    Understanding the spiritual journey within the ageing process, providing for inclusion and valuing of all people
•    Ability to lead and adapt in response to change
•    Administrative ability and tech savvy – MS Office Suite and Teams 
•    Own vehicle and driver's license with ability to travel across Sydney Meto & Regional NSW 
•    Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDISWC
