A new opportunity has become available for a highly experienced and technically capable Financial Accounting Manager who is passionate about partnering with key stakeholders and capable of driving change to support collaboration. Reporting to the Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will lead and empower a team of 5 Financial Accountants in a fast paced and busy environment, to ensure all month end tasks and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner with financial integrity and organisation compliance. 

Your proactive hands-on approach together with your people leadership skills and experience, will support your success in this integral position. Your genuine curiosity to understand data together with your ability to translate results will be critical to your success.  

Within this role you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Ensure all financial accounting activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Full accountability for the month-end process, including posting of journals, reviewing of trial balance and balance sheet reconciliation 
  • Monitoring, reviewing and recommending amendments to the liability balance sheet 
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant financial and accounting regulations, standards, and reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) 
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities and stakeholders 
  • Leading the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements and monthly business reviews 
  • Leading, inspiring, and developing a harmonious productive team 

The ideal applicant will have high attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to meet and adhere to strict deadlines. Additionally, to be successful in this role you’ll have; 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce (or equivalent) 
  • CPA / CA / CIMA Qualified – Essential 
  • Experience with Microsoft AX - preferred 
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in financial accounting, corporate finance, or similar 
  • Min 3 + years demonstrated experience in a similar team people leadership position  
  • Technically strong on the knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment impacting financial planning and analysis 
  • Experience in Aged Care/Healthcare/NDIS - Preferred
