It’s an exciting time to be at TFE Hotels! We’re certainly going places and to support our expanding portfolio, we’re looking for a skilled Payroll Coordinator, based in TFE Hotels head office at Ultimo.

 

About the role….

The key to this role is problem-solving.

If you love numbers, and have a desire to learn every day this is the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in the field of Payroll.

Working with a Global Payroll and Human Capital System (Dayforce) you will become a specialist in executing the weekly and monthly payroll and HR system functions across Australia and New Zealand.  (This role is being offered with Monday to Friday working hours).

 

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

On boarding and off boarding of team members:

  • Attaching all required policies in Dayforce
  • Visa checks
  • New on boarding workflow
  • Terminating outgoing team members in alignment with Fair Work requirements

 

Customer Service:

  • Answer general payroll enquires from all team members and collaborate with the People & Capability team for any questions relating to Award interpretation

Communication:

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships within the team and across the business.
  • Use effective communication skills to respond to questions in writing and via phone across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Service desk ticket support (answering and resolving queries in a professional manner)

 

Payroll Processing:

  • Ensure accurate payroll transactions and payments are completed
  • All payroll processing transactions comply with the relevant awards and legislation in Australia & New Zealand
  • Preparation of payroll and people data and metric reports.

 

About you….

  • Min. 12 months previous experiencing in end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Experience understanding and interpreting Australian awards.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (intermediate level experience with Excel)
  • Previous experience with Dayforce or Workday (desirable)
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • High Level of detail and accuracy with the ability to solve difficult problems
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service experience and passion to help team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently and with accuracy in a busy environment
  • Full-time permanent working rights in Australia

About you….

  • Minimum of 12 months experience or a recent graduate, in one of the following disciplines:
    • Accounting
    • Human Resources
    • Finance
  • Previous exposure in understanding and interpreting awards.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Systems:
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365.
    • Intermediate level experience with Excel
    • Previous experience with Dayforce or Workday (desirable)
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • High Level of detail and accuracy with the ability to solve difficult problems
  • Good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer service experience and passion to help team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently and with accuracy in a busy environment
  • Full working rights in Australia (permanent/full-time hours)
