Hotel General Manager

The Adina Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront is currently recruiting an experienced and passionate Hotel General Manager.

About the role….

Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the role is responsible for the management of two brands (on one property) which make up the beautiful Darwin waterfront precinct.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to) ….

• Oversee the daily operations and performance of the hotel including all departments and team members, ensuring smooth running and exemplary guest service
• Preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts, managing and chasing debtors, overseeing orders and conducting audits
• Partnering with Sales, Revenue and Marketing, to build an annual business plan and actively monitor and revise it based on hotel performance

About You….

• A proficient leader with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing a complex, medium to large-scale resort style property (220 + rooms) with food and beverage and conferencing.
• Experience working in the Northern Territory or Western Australia (preferred)
• Demonstrated achievements in delivering growth results in hotels and driving revenue
• Previous experience working in a remote city, in a centralised hotel management model
• Exceptional owner engagement with strong negotiation skills.  
• The ability to develop and maintain Indigenous community relationships
• Experience in working with strata properties in Australia, included knowledge of relevant laws and compliance
• An inspirational leader managing teams, building culture and developing talent pipelines
• Proven experience managing high volume food and beverage
• Previous experience with the management of a refurbishment project (deliver on time and budget)
• High standards of attention to detail and strong communication (written & verbal)
• Excellent grooming and personal presentation
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and First Aid Certificates
