The Opportunity

Vocus is seeking a highly motivated person to join our team in either Sydney or Melbourne locations. The As the Functional Analyst is primarily responsible for driving technology and process improvement for our stakeholders, through the Salesforce and the related ecosystem. This role requires a passion for problem-solving and best-practice knowledge for using the ServiceNow platform to provide positive business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day

  • Work with various stakeholders to analyze business requirements and convert to Salesforce solutions that enable the business to achieve its CX objectives, improve user experience, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Leverage standard Salesforce functionality with the aim of minimizing the use of custom development to solve complex business requirements as part of a cross-functional agile team.
  • Responsible for quality assurance, ensuring accurate testing cycles
  • Complete gap analysis for as-is and to-be processes; translating into functional and technical specifications.
  • Analyze multiple data sources in an investigative manner and present insights and opportunities
  • Support change management initiatives related to new feature releases including documentation and training.
  • Maintain familiarity with upstream/downstream integrations and their impact on feature enhancements
  • Identify, document, communicate and reinforce standard business processes as they relate to the [platform name] platform
  • Create operational excellence through best practice sharing and process consistency across all users.
  • Serve as an agent of change and drive effective communication to all business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to this role

  • At least 5 years of Salesforce experience, with at least 2 years experience in a business environment
  • Relevant qualification for platform [e.g. Salesforce certifications, Service Now certifications, API/gateway/mulesoft knowledge]
  • Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Able to demonstrate strong understanding of platform features and functionality
  • Proven ability to match functional requirements with best practice design and configuration-based solution approaches
  • Good understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development life cycle.
  • Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sound ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
  • Sound technical specification writing/documentation skills
  • An appreciation of both IT and business strategy.
  • Ability to foresee and analyze project risks and develop risk management plans.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering.
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics
