The Opportunity

Join a dynamic team in a transformative phase, transitioning from a virtual delivery model to a dedicated delivery model. They are implementing scaled agile methodologies to improve efficiency and outcomes. This transition marks a return to a model where dedicated teams manage projects end-to-end, focusing on agile principles while retaining essential project management skills.

The Hybrid Project Manager/Scrum Master will be at the forefront of this transition, leading dedicated teams using scrum methodologies while maintaining project management responsibilities, including budget management and change requests. This role requires a blend of scrum mastery and project management expertise, as they shift towards a service delivery manager model.

What you'll be doing day-to-day:

Scrum Master duties

  • Facilitate key scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
  • Utilise Jira for managing project workflows, creating dashboards, and tracking progress with burndown charts.
  • Lead a team (squad) to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of projects using scrum methodologies.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement, guiding teams to refine and optimise agile practices.

Project Management duties

  • Oversee budget forecasting and financial management for projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, balancing agile methodologies with traditional project management practices.
  •  Handle change requests and ensure all project components are aligned with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

 Leadership and Support duties

  • Act as a mentor to other project managers transitioning to agile methodologies, providing guidance and support.
  • Define and communicate what 'good' looks like for the team and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Support the broader organisational shift towards a service delivery model, blending scrum and project management responsibilities.

Ideally You Possess

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of agile frameworks and scrum methodologies.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting and financial tracking.
  • Proficiency in using Jira for project management and agile workflow tracking.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Experience in managing change requests and balancing agile and traditional project management approaches.
  • Domain experience in industries such as energy or telco is beneficial but not essential.
  • An adaptable and supportive attitude, capable of working in a hybrid role that blends
